Las Vegas Sunsets 2018

The sunsets out here are so beautiful (an advantage of living in the desert I suppose?) so I’ve decided to just share a few with you. I won’t have much to say other than the images presented, but I think you’ll enjoy looking at them just as much as we enjoy them :D. Most of these are taken from our balcony but others are taken around the area if we happen to be out and about.

This was taken by work
It’s kind of hard to believe this is a real picture.
Whenever it’s a cloudy day (which is rare), we always know it’s going to be an amazing sunset

Continuing to add to this collection, I’m not sure the best way to organize them so I’ll attempt a date marker for additions. These are from Jan/Feb 2019.

Different sort of clouds, but still producing beautiful colors.

You can almost imagine Jupiter being in the sky behind the mountain – a large mass of swirling clouds and vibrant colors set against a looming monolith with us peons settled in below.

The sunset is intensifying!

Not all the views are tight close ups – below you can see muckiest of the valley as the sun is just beginning to set behind the wall of rock surrounding Las Vegas.

And below is from the last week of February, when we actually got snow – and not just flurries, honest snow that stuck to the ground and had to melt as the sun came out to heat the earth.

The warm glow of the street light has an interesting affect
A zoomed view, attempting to catch the vibrant contrast between the shadow cast by the light and the light itself (also a faster shot)

Below is an interesting shot – the whole of western Summerlin covered almost completely in snow. Definitely not something you see everyday!
