New York Wedding

During the summer we get a few weeks to take vacation, and this year our friend was getting married in upstate New York so we took the opportunity to continue along and visit Montréal since neither of us had been there but have heard wonderful things.

We arrived in New York (after some…delays…) and met up with friends at a local haunt just a block away from our hotel. It was a pretty fun spot since as folks arrived we just kept adding them to the table. We started with 3 and ended up with a group of over 8! They also had live music and outdoor seating, which made for a very relaxing evening.

Almost a July 4th wedding, so we went with a “Red White and Blue” theme

The next day we got ready for the wedding and had a peak around the venue. It was very pretty! The bride and groom opted for an outdoor ceremony in a shaded area of the golf course, complete with flowers and covered gazebos for shade. We grabbed a picture before the ceremony started.

We also had a look around the reception hall with was done up beautifully. The lights wrapped in fabric hung from the ceiling was an especially nice touch.

Our table decorations were these wonderful little suitcases that contained jelly beans and other treats. As you can see we were at Table 6, which was quite rowdy during the festivities.

For some reason our table was in the middle of the room…

We got a nice group shot above, but we also thought it would be fun to take some individual shots with their Polaroid cameras the bride and groom had floating around the reception. I’m not sure this was the intent…but we got some memorable shots!

That’s a lot of memories

All in all, it was a fantastic wedding and a wonderful time seeing everyone!

As always, thanks for reading and we’ll see you next time.
